Blew my turbos at 29,000 miles. At only $3K the extended saved me $12K in repairs. I'm sold!

How you managed blowing your turbos?

Plugged oil screen.
In their wisdom the German engineers neglected to add a 'plugged screen' bypass.
ONLY use Mobil 1, and change oil regularly.

By the way the warranty extension was "First Automotive" sold by "North Bay" in East Windsor, CT.

Default Deteriorated turbines??

After new turbines were installed on my 2015 A8L 4.0, I noticed a substantial INCREASE in acceleration when pushing it.
My gut tells me that the 'old' turbos had deteriorated before failure by a noticeable amount ( tip clearance ?).
Has anyone else noticed this?

Did you ever get your warranty squared away?

If not look into Plateu warranty check my last post they paid for everything with no hassle.

So far they paid about $ 10k in warranty claims since ownership again no hassle.

As I posted previously, my $3500 extended warranty covered EVERYTHING but a few little gaskets. Super job on the repair.
From now on, best oil changed at 5000 mile frequency.
Good luck with yours.

that's a lot better than $16,000 in twin turbo replacement.
