Default Still no TDI's

I wrote a couple of months ago looking for TDI's and everyone was very informative and I think agreed with me that they simply don't exist!! I test drove a 2013 3.0T this weekend and found it very nice but I would welcome the increased MPG's and torque of the TDI. My previous car was a 2013 VW Passat TDI and I loved that car. I have been searching the normal sites: Autotrader, Cargurus, Cars.com and Carmaxx. The only TDI's I am finding are the held-over new 2016's that they are still asking full MSPR for. These are cars that sat on a lot for years degrading and they still think they can get full MSRP??

Rant over.

Has anyone purchased a car directly from one of those wholesale auction brokers? I have read about it but never looked into it. You pay someone with a dealers license $500 or something and they find a car at auction and purchase for you. Anyone have any thoughts?

Anyways, if anyone knows where all the TDI's are stashed away, please let me know.

Thanks

I don't think you will find a new one but I just did a nationwide search for used ones and found 20.
