Default Suspension issue: slight clunking from rear when going over bumps and dips...

since the car is CPO'd, took it into the dealer yesterday. This was the third time for this issue. First time, couldn't replicate, second time, replaced something in the rear area - axle, hub, something, no idea. This time they called me and said they had to send an audio recording of the noise to Audi and they diagnosed it as the air suspension. It's bad. Fine. Turns out, they don't have a single setup in the US so they have to order directly from Germany, 7-10 days. Very happy they finally figured it out and at $4000 or so, it's covered! As they say, don't own these cars without a warranty.

Thanks for update. When they do it, let us know exactly what parts they change out. Presumably one or more air shock units.

That's the hope! I generally buy my cars CPO'd and then go the dealer for every little issue while I can. Just got an 09 BMW e93 and the dealer actually gave me a 90 day warranty, and that car is in the shop now for something silly

Air suspension issues are not too common but they are even more expensive to fix. Particularly at dealer prices. As far as shipping from Germany, this seems to be a common theme. My suspension level sensor took two weeks as well as the engine mount. Not much is stocked in the US it looks like.

What are they replacing exactly? Both shocks?

car is back, noise seems to be gone, car rides about the same as before, cost to dealer was $3500 according to the invoice. they waived my deductible.
