Exclamation Undocumented Fault Code 89H/137

Hi! I have an 2011 A8L with about 70K miles. As of two days ago, the yellow air suspension indicator came on and now the car's front end is completely low. I have put it into jack mode and when diagnosed by a friend we got the undocumented fault code of 89H/137. When searching the internet, nothing comes up. Does anyone know what the fault code is for? Thanks in advance.

What did you use to read the code? Did you leave the car in jack mode? If so did any of the corners go down?

@Jibsymalone I don't know what the instrument is called, a mechanic friend of mine did the code look up. Basically it is a handheld device, which connects to the car and after going through a series of menus it identifies the fault code and/or what it means. As for the jack mode, yes we left the car in the jack mode. However, no corner went down, any more than they already were. Currently the frontend is as low as it can be.

Most generic readers won't give a comprehensive or in depth scan. If you are planning on keeping this car any length of time, I would highly recommend getting either VCDS or something like OBDeleven (I have the latter). Not only will these give you more detailed and precise codes, but you can enable and disable select features on your car also. There are numerous threads on both of these.

Back to the actual car. Have you checked all your fuses? Does the compressor actually kick on? If so have you tried to perform a bubble/audible check and identify the leak?

Regarding the device, I will ask/let my mechanic friend know about the two you mentioned. Again, I don't know much about them, but will read on them. As for the car, yes i did check all of the fuses, found a bad one and replaced it (needless to say, did not fix the issue). The compressor does kick on. I did try to perform a audible check; however, I did not hear any air leaks.

I started this thread out of curiosity, since I was not able to find anything related to the fault code 89H/137. Quick question, when running diagnostics, does being in the jack mode make a difference?

Googled the code, this came up. Not sure it helps but worth the read IMO.

@JaL3 Thank you! I had seen that as well. It was not of much help.

Update: Took the car to the Audi dealer and they diagnosed the issue as passenger side suspension issue. Basically the airbag failed. I had purchased a 3rd party extended warranty when I purchased the car; however, the warranty states that "shock absorbers" are not covered. Question, does the airbag fall under "shock absorber"?
