Jack88- I found on another resource that says that channel 5 and 6 both need to be set to value 1 to engage the green menu- I altered both to see if it made any difference in the options of ripping and copying-- no difference in the options. Also for reference, 2016 A8L Sport with B&O only has in dash, no changer. - appreciate any insight in light of your software update

Hi, Anyone out there from St. Louis, MO? I have a 2013 A8L Sport Package with an APR Tune. I'm looking for someone with VAG-COM to help me lower the suspension and do some other ECU changes.

It seems that the Rosstech "HEX-USB+CAN" can do all of the things on this thread..

( it requires Windows laptop which has USB port)(it's also the cheapest way to do everything which I know of)

I'm not sure off the top of my head. I sold my A8, so unfortunately I can't check into these things anymore. I'm also not sure what changed in more recent software updates, I had lent out my cable between the time I updated the software and sold the car.

Guys i have 2011 audi a8 4.2 and i did the instrument cluster upshift mod but it still only says D or S not the gear i am in any input pls

The upshift mod listed is not one I had tried, it's different from the gear display. The one displaying your gear is one of the options in the adaption portion for the instrument cluster. I can't give you exact instructions, since I no longer have my car to check against, but basically you select it from the pulldown and VCDS will tell you how to change it. It might be in the long code, but I don't think so. I do recall that when you find the option for it, it's pretty clear that's the one you're looking for to display gear number next to D or S, the same way it does for manual mode. You can select whether it displays in D or S independently. Sorry I can't be more specific, I didn't realize I hadn't included that mod in here after I did it.
