Picked the car up today, it most certainly is a beast, the engine and tranny are absolutely amazing, crazy amount of response and power. Interior is stunning with the red stitching on the black seat and the copper threads in the carbon fiber. Got the overview on the electronics but it will take some time to learn everything. The Google nav system is light years better than the nav in my 2011 Mercedes and even in the brand new e300's, which the folks in the Mercedes forum are ripping apart. I would expect the B&O sound system to get better with break in, it sounds kind of dry and lean in the bass right now, I'll give it a 100 hours to re-assess. Also needs to open up. Not sure it's as good as the new Bose system in the 2017 models, heard it in an a8 and it sounded amazing. I wasn't sure if I would find the ride on the 21 inch rims too hard but it seems fine so far. Seats are extremely comfortable and the massage feature, while not too aggressive, is relaxing. Fit and finish is great. The infotainment system works well enough but wish it were touch screen and had a more modern look in some functions, like the information display on xm radio. Surprised that there is no remote start option. Thanks to everyone in this forum for all of the information over the last few months as I moved toward my car decision. After being a Mercedes customer for 30 years, this is my first Audi, the s8 is quite a way to introduce myself to the brand. Regards. Ned.
