Would my wife know if I got a stage 2 tune?

@doctormario. The car is already so fast that she won't notice unless she is always punching it. Since she drives a Prius, I don't think she will notice. My wife is similar to yours and does not approve of these mods. She didn't notice that I did Stage 2 on my S8, but she loves driving it!

I haven’t made the decision yet
I got all caught up on if I need to sell the car and stuff and haven’t pulled the trigger... I’m nervous about having to uninstall the aftermarket downpipes as I guess with the stage 2 ones it doesn’t pass emissions readiness testing. I don’t have obd testing in my county, but ATL does and I will probably end up selling it there.

Doc, it crossed my mind the other day, that I've got all this power, but there isn't much opportunity to use it! On the gas for a second or so, and it's time to back off. And that's on straight roads; back roads even quicker. The old point of diminishing returns. Mike

I’d say
That an S8 with a tune is rapidly diminishing the returns on a normal street sedan... but hey that’s why we love it right?? I remember thinking my dads 540i in 1998 was the absolute peak of sports sedan lol.. I’m all in for stage 1 but for now will pass on stage 2 I think. It can cause some headaches after reading lots of these forums..

I found a shop in ATL area who can go stock to stage 2 for $3k even which I consider a damn good deal to have a sub 11 second machine... I’m in! I’ll let y’all know how it turns out. Thanks for all the input Audi friends!
