You’re 100% correct. I edited my prior reply after looking at the image on a larger screen. I was mistaken and forgot the specific contents of the Luxury package.

When A8s were first ordered, there only 4 variants. Audi just put first edition package on the window sticker along with the options instead of just calling them variants 1-4.

I noticed that but now they have it on the order guide cannot be ordered just prebuilt units only.
they changed the order guide to read first edition instead in variants.

its an A8L 4.0 V8. Leased when new, then re-leased a year ago for another 2-years when I saw that the D5 was being delayed, and then no V8 for another year. Could have gone with a different car, but wife and I love our D4, and with low mileage and with the CPO it was a fairly decent deal to hold onto the car until Audi got their act together. Will be ordering a 2020 in July...just not sure what that car will be at this point.

Unfortunately the gasoline particulate filter may be a thing on the D5 A8.

Fortunately for us though the main worries with the diesel particulate filter may not be a problem that we have to deal with given the unique pros of burning gas.

what's the extended warranty I'm leaning towards keeping my 2015 A8 3.0.
like to know in case my dealer wants to pull a fast one. Know I'll purchase it and pay the residual.
already extended my lease for 6 months now ends on November turn in date December 2018.
I appreciate your feedback thanks.

Our car was CPO’d as part of a 2-year re-lease deal with a bank, so that’s the extended warranty coverage (1 year factory warranty ending 11/21, with CPO —6 years? — warranty starting then). I don’t have any info on a separate independent 3rd party extended warranty. See if your car qualifies to be CPO’d and if it would be available to you if you purchase it from AFS. Not sure, but your dealer might have to purchase the car for you from AFS, then re-sell it to you to get it CPO’d (if it qualifies). I believe they charge around $2500 to get it CPO’d. Your salesperson can confirm the process with you.

wow no wonder the dealer told 875 per month.
same amount I was paying during my lease.
AFS told me I had three options.
option one get it cpo NY dealer
option two take a bank loan and buy the car outright residual value
option three process the paperwork through AFS at residual value.
I'm thinking anywhere from 630 to 700 per month.
I may call AFS start the process because my extended lease ends December 2018.
don't want to wait too long at least by November 2018.
and the heck with the dealer.
