I'm surprised Audi expects enough volume to have both an S8 and S8 Plus along with a 4.0T A8. Standard S8 seems pretty low production as it is.

Remember both are sold currently in Europe and probably some other markets. For USA, it is Plus only, but was introduced at essentially same price as prior non-Plus.

Panamera Hybrid turbo review

Probably a reasonably fair read on what to expect with D5 S8 at the "Plus" level--all of "ludicrous" power, way piggish weight, sort of cold surgical performance, and so on:
