Car Wash?
OK so I hand washed my white A8 for the first time today (I've had it a week). Wow, it's big! Spent two hours just washing and drying it -- all that glass on the sides and top! I've got a local guy who is reasonable for car washing and detailing by hand, but just wondering if anyone has used a commercial car wash place and feels OK about it?

I use a local commercial car wash, maybe 1-2 times/month, It's fine to get the car clean after bad weather, definitely not the quality of hand washing. Car has been paint corrected and ceramic coated.

Its all personal choice Newhope. I will not let anybody else wash mine, even when in for service. Mine is silver and i searched for ages for a white one !! Have we seen a picture of yours?

I was my car by hand in my garage. I'm now used to how big the D5 is but when I first got it, I felt like I was washing the entire planet. I do not allow anybody or anything to wash my car even if some days I hate washing my car. In the winter, it's washed after every drive outside (top and bottom/underneath) because f*** salt.

Nice one Angry, we share an obsessive practice there then. I have seen some of these "drive in" specialist cleaning places using really old sponges and things. When they drop them, oh well, just pick it up and carry on !!!!

No, I need to take a picture of it. I had the silver for one week and then returned it to Carvana. I got lucky that a dealer had just what I wanted and only an hour away. I see someone else has white, but wants silver. Personal preference makes the world go round!
