I think we are saying the same thing. The post that you quoted that I made was taken from a European model with the Sports package, and it too had exhaust that faced towards the ground and had the fake exhaust pipes as well.
It would appear only the S8 will have real exhaust

Wow! I'm guessing it's when your lease ends or something as that's a very precise date! That said, you're probably getting a MY20 model, right? I would think all MY19 model build slots are gone by then?

Current D4 lease ends tail end of November. Yes, will be a 2020 MY. Placing a July order sets a build slot that usually gets the car to my dealer sometime in October, early November—Usually. Last time that almost didn’t work and my dealer had to trade for another dealer’s allocation to get my car built. Not sure if I’ll be ordering the Predictive Active Suspension. Depends on cost, since I don’t consider it a “must have” option. The D5’s new standard Active Air Suspension offers considerable improvement over my 2015 D4’s ride quality, so I’m not sure how much more benefit the Predictive setup offers for my real world driving situation. Will consider it, but...
