Default D5 and interior misting

Hi all

it's been a while, but I borrowed the dealers D5 again and noticed on a very rainy drive last night with the family that the interior of the car wouldn't demist very well. Even after 30 mins of driving the rear passenger windows were still fogged up.

I set the ventilation to auto and the recirculation facility and whole bunch of other things to no avail.

Ok, it's still their original demonstrator from December 2017, but it's done 6500+miles now and is well run in.

We are thinking of buying this car as it's value has come down from the original £89,000 to £43,000, but little things like this put us off. Especially as our C7 A6 doesn't have this issue or even our old D4 (R.I.P).
btw the 3.0 TDI is fine for most driving but I would go for the v8 sq7 without a shadow of a doubt. But I fear this Will not happen:-(

FWIW this is happening on the b9 s4 too.

That said some markets Recieved the new CO2 refrigerant as opposed to the more traditional type. Can you please report back which one yours uses?

Thanks. I've emailed the master tech . I had the same problem last night where it was 5C ambient and dry and the car still misted up with just me in the car.

perhaps some malfunction causing humid air to leak into the HVAC system?

Perhaps. That said several early adopters of the CO2 refrigerant for S class owners reported the same thing

I didn't realise the car had the Air quality pack with the funny scents for the different seasons.

I've raised a query with my friends at Audi UK what's going on and whether the issue has been rectified for the MY2019.
