Zero to 60mph is listed at 5.6 seconds, but real world testing is even a second less at 5.5---Still not the neck snapping ooomph of the D4's 4.0T V8.
The V6 motor, however, on acceleration doesn't sound bad in the video. Wish it was a twin turbo though. Check out the article from Motor 1 and the linked videos.

0-62 in 5.6 seconds is decent but not that much faster than the current 333-hp D4 A8 3.0T which I believe is listed at 5.7 seconds to 60 mph. I am curious why they came out with a new turbocharged 3.0 engine that seems hardly superior to the outgoing supercharged 3.0. I know the torque is a bit higher. Is the fuel economy superior to the supercharged V6?
Audi will be making a huge mistake if they don't launch the car in the U.S. with the 4.0T engine. All the car magazines do their full testing and comparison tests when a new model first comes out. The D5 A8 3.0T will be benchmarked against the MB S560, BMW 750Li, Lexus LS500, etc. and it will obviously not be competitive with the largest engine variants of those cars. When the 4.0T engine comes out 6 months later, the motoring press will have moved on. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
