Forsale 92 Audi 100 s 5 speed car. New tires, fuel pump, tint,otherwise orig 25 year old car !!! Was my daily driver for last two years . Complete new ac system in 2015. Mustang..that is a nice car. Most likely needs a valve job..you may have banged-bent the valves when the belt failed. Used cylinder heads are about $200 each if you wanted to swap them or just get yours rebuilt. How many miles on the car?

Yes I'm sure the valves are shot. My mechanic said $1000 total for both sides that includes all machining,valves,ect ect car had 194k but odometer didn't always work so miles unknown but it never burned oil, smoked or anything always ran strong.was very well Maintained for 25 yrs old . Seems like a motor swap would be cheaper at this point? Not sure what to do . Sucks tooo as it's my daily driver.

Our old Audi s are long past the ROI value factor with repairs..another way to look at it is..if you know the car and it cost $1000..would you buy it? Fix it and drive it would be my advise.

If the mechanic that gave you the estimate for the valve job is the same fellow who forgot the regular timing belt service..you may want to look for another mechanic. Chances are the belt was long overdue for replacement.
