Default 1993 A6 2.8 auto gearbox issue
Hi

Hopefully someone can assist . I've search the net and haven't had any luck
My auto gearbox, while driving, suddenly had no drive Car has reverse but no forward gears

Checked fluid level - fine

Replaced transmission and torgue converter Both gearboxes do the same

The transmission lever was not replaced. Kept the original unit

Of anyone had had a similar problem or can shed some light, would greatly appreciate it

This is the wrong forum

This forum is for the C5 version of the A6, produced between 1997 and 2004

Where are you based? In the US, there was no A6 until 1995. Prior to that, the C4 was a 100 or S4.

2 different transmissions had the exact same problem? Are you 100% sure it's not an axle or rear differential problem?

It's not Quattro Only front well drive

I'm in South Africa.Vehicle is definitely A6/500. It's registered as a '93
