ok its been a little. but im back. ok so a situation came up and the shop was closed about a month. I come back dont live in the area and the audi still there. So the shop back open and I asked my dad what he wanted about the audi. I tell him from the forum i joined people say its the ignition switch more the likely. He says thats the next thing he was going to check.

all of the wires get power when cracking. So my dad doesnt think its the igniton switch anymore i think.

I checked the ecu pins and none of them light up with a test light with the key in the on position. I dont know which one but im sure one of them should have power when key is in the on position.

my dad is old school and I guess not in a rush to fix it. He'd rather take his time with a test light and try to pin point the problem be for committing to buying useless parts that didnt need replace. He lives in small poor city so I see why he would be like that. People dont have the money to spend on parts they dont need even if its just $40 or so.

I will be going to the local pick n pull and see if I cant grab one out of a lil newer audio or vw.

any help/info would be greatly appreciated. i think I want to see this car start more than my dad. I spent a lot of time looking up info and a lil trying to troubleshoot it myself. Im ready to replace the ignition switch either way since i pulled the old one out

ok so we changed the ignition switch, still no start!
i beileve this year cs 100 1993 came with a check engine light, which does not come on. from what i read if im not mistaken, thats an indicator that the ecu isnt getting power(and its not the bulb). which I know the ecu isnt getting power because none of the pins to the ecu are getting power.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you
