94 100 CSQ - Rear Brake options - Rotor and Pads
Since I've dropped the local dealer, I need to get rear brake rotors and pads from a local guy here in town. He's telling me that the OEM rotors are the only option for the rears. He's also recommending Pagid pads. Total estimated cost of $330.
Has anyone used these pads? Other options that have worked for you?
thanks!

Pagid are the dust king pads of the world...
They dust_like_crazy. Get Ferodo, Mintex, PBR, or another low dust pad, since they all offer about the same stopping power.
Rotor options are...
OEM
Slotted
Cross-Drilled
I use OEM, as it doesn't make a huge difference on the rear.
PARTS COSTS
I have, in my garage, rear brake parts for whenever I need to replace them. Zimmermann SOLID rotors and Mintex DUSTLESS pads ...
Rotors: $75/set from GPR (800 321 5432)
Pads: $50/set (same source)
Labor to replace rear brakes: 1.25 hours @ $55/hour = about $70 with tax (local indie shop)
Total cost: $195
$330 IS TOO MUCH. Who pays list for parts? I wouldn't be able to afford these cars if I had to pay list for parts.
So your shop says they will only install parts they supply? Then find another shop or tell them to buy the parts from GPR and mark them up a fair 10%.
