Default Anyone have any ideas about this? (Electrical)

I noticed this today. I've looked from all angles and don't see the female connection. I've had the car for 100k so far and can't imagine what I'm missing except for headlight washers. Any thoughts? Also while I'm here, I may as well ask about my ignition switch which I swapped out last week. Generally I feel good about it. (Last time I waited until it failed.) Anyway, I saw an old thread from 2007 where someone commented about popping the plastic end of the switch with a flathead somehow... since the swap my windows don't close with the key in the door lock and I miss that. A commentor thought this could resolve that. Feedback? Thanks!
From above right front. I just set it next to the other connection. I found it hanging though.

From below and how I first saw it.

Willard..that extra connector may be for the fog lights on a euro car..I seem to recall there are those loose connectors on our USA A6 cars..they don't attach to anything.

And I think there are two Audi ignition switches..one for a manual transmission and the other for a automatic. There is an extra pin on the automatic switch..part number 4A0 905 849B. Try and source a OEM Audi switch as the aftermarket switches (URO, MTC, etc) are terrible in quality..that could be your problem too.

Thanks Rusty. Fog lights. Ok. And the ignition switch, I followed your previous posts and spent the money and got the OEM switch for an automatic. Ok- win some loose some. Off topic I was at Audi the other day for some info and a tech guy was nice enough to check my key cylinder. He said he started there when the c4s first came out. He seemed sentimental like a lot of us here are about these car but he also laughed at the electrical cluster Audi launched with this series. Lol

Your fog lights should be fine..fog lamps are inside the headlamps on our USA cars. The Euro cars had a different headlamp and the fog lamps were in the lower grill. That loose connector(s) are for the grill mounted fog lamps and is not used here..see the picture:
