brake fuse burns out
 

Hello everyone! i need your help. My 97 a6 wagon never had electrical problems before. A couple of weeks ago it burn out brake light fuse. Put a new one and it worked for a couple of weeks. Then out of the blue it did it again, when i put a new fuse it burn it out and it did it 6 times in a row. Any ideas what has caused this? Have any of you ever go through this problem. The scary part is that when it happens you cannot even move the shift knob. It just moves a little but you cannot get it out of there.

It will be the wiring in the tailgate, remove the trim and replace the wiring.
