Charity rally in an A6 2.5 TDi - need input
Hi guys,
So, we are participating in the Baltic Sea Circle 2019 for charity (7.500 km, see more here: https://balticrally.superlative-adventure.com/) and for that purpose we bought a 1996 A6 Avant 2.5 TDi with no service history (yeah, I know) but a recent MOT.
Only known problem is the oil temp not working (gauge doesn't move).
We are going to do the obvious to prepare (oil change, new coolant, new brake fluid, check brakes, check shocks/springs, new wipers etc.). Any suggestions for additional preventative maintenance?
We are bringing spare bulbs, fluids, fuses and tools. Any suggestions for stuff to bring for roadside repairs?

Here is the USA we did see the 2.5 TDi, only the 2.8 V6..That said it sounds like you have all the bases covered. I presume the MOT inspects the tires..so that would be another concern addressed too.
