Default Fuel gauge

I own audi 100, everytime my fuel gauge reaches 1/4 tank, I rushes to 1/8 tank. What could the cause? The other thing is, it goes up as the revs go up.

What year? I ask as Audi put a damper in the gauges to keep them stabilized somewhere in the early 90s

Non-dampened gauge early style...could be a few things...there is a voltage stabilizer in the instrument cluster that would explain the fluctuations when reving the engine. You will need a Bentley manual. The voltage stabilizer will cure a lot of issues with your gauges. Part number 171919803

Oh, another thing is, my mileage has been stuck for years and I can only see part of the digital clock, what could be the cause?

In 1988 the Audi was called a 5000 in the USA. In 1989 they called the same car the Audi 100. So I think you have a 1989 model..if you are here in the States.

Shop around for a Bentley..if you have a 1989 here is a set of books on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Three-Volum...kAAOSw3uBZrGrG

The clock may need replacement. As I recall the clock was used in other Audi/VW models around the same year. You will need to send the speedo out for repair. The plastic gears break.
