heating problem
hi everybody.
i have a 93 100 Q. when i turn the heat on, the aer doesn't go any where but in the mid so i cannot switch to the windshield (defrost) or feet...the fan is working fine, lots of heat but only in the middle.
also, the ABS OFF light is on all the time
how do you take out the console? can't find the screws
any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

checking for codes would be a plus , if you don't have vag-com try cleaning the wheel speed sensors
Be very carefull not to tear them apart, they get pretty stuck in there.
Actually first thing first, check to see if there is a fuse for the ABS module....might be as simple as that.

try checking the ABS Combi Relay (J156) located at the Auxiliary Relay Panel II. It's a relay with a fuse on top of it. Check the fuse first to see if its burnt. If OK check the contacts that the fuse inserts into by wiggling the fuse in the socket. Lastly make sure the relay itself is not loose in the socket. I had somewhat of a similar problem only that my ABS OFF light flickered and sometimes stays on. I knew then that it must be electrical and not a mechanical problem.
