So.. in a minor accident the other day, and bent the hood and broke the grill on the drivers side. Now the hood won't release. When I pull the release lever, the passenger side pin pops up, but the drivers side won't. The secondary release in the center of the grill I think is damaged as well. Question is- is there any way to get the hood opened? I am able to get some access to the area by pulling the headlight- since the clips on that are broken too- So I can wiggle it out, and doing that I can sort of see the drive's side pin- but I can't really tell what the issue is. The release cable seems to be intact- I can pull it from the headlight opening and it pops the passenger side pin. Any thoughts?? 97 A6 Quattro..
