Hi, I have an audi a6 97 avant quattro. I am changing the rear differential seal because of leaking and loud thudding noises when wheels are a couple psi off. I thought everything was going well UNTIL I tried moving the rear cv-axle (on the passenger side) from the differential flange. Does anyone know a trick on how to get only like an inch or so clearance to move the cv-axle so I can get clearance to remove the flange to get to the seal??....btw I am trying to not remove the entire cv-axle from the wheel hub.
