How many 100 owners out there?
Up until 3 years ago I had 4. 1, C3; 3, C4's. Down to 2 now, a 2.0E estate and a 2.5 TDi estate. 1992 & 1993 respectively. 156,000 & 165,000, miles again respectively. The TDi is the daily drive, love it to bits, does what I need. The C3 2.2 Quattro CS100 Avant I had to leave behind in France when we left for the UK, I was gutted! Also left behind was a 2.8 V6 estate which was a truly lovely runner. Very sad. That's women for you, missing the grandchildren.

1994 cs100
I recently picked up this car last month with 212k miles. The car is still in great shape and I love how it drives. I'm disappointed about the lack of information available on these cars though.

Sounds like you have a 2 Litre petrol, which I've had - an Avant auto. Classy aren't they?

'1990 Audi 100 Wagon (not quattro)
I love the car too!! So do many James Bond fans from back in the day, 'For Your Eyes Only,' which featured the sedan quattro version in a sweet snow scene.
Any idea anyone, where I can find a transmission for a '90?
My grandma gifted me this car, lady driven only on Sundays since day 1. All the oil change, maintenance records, garage kept...
L'il granddaughter really drove her a bit hard last year... slow leak in the transmission, went undetected, till she lost power on the sea to sky hwy...
towed to her temp resting spot, she still limped in the last 50 feet on her own (4 wheels) steam.
I want to get her back on the road. Anywhere? Anyone? Transmission? lol Am I dreamin'?

Guys/Ladies,
Is it my impression or I'm one of a hand full that like the 100s?
My first Audi was a 96 5000. Now I'm driving a nice 92 100CS. Got it for $500, already spent about $4k in it just to make sure it won't give me problems in the near future or I'll have problems find parts.
Add to it about $2k in stereo equipments (the only thing I don't like from *any* manufacture) and I got myself a 92 Audi 100 with $6k invested in it.
Stupid? No for me, as I love the car.
Yes I could buy a nice POS 2006/2007 for that money, but it wouldn't be an Audi ...
Any one want to add to this tread and count how many Audis are out there?

Al

That is a transition year..could be a four speed or three speed automatic transmission. If it is a Quattro..then you have for certain a four speed.
If it is a three speed automatic (called an 010 or 090) those are very simple gearboxes to rebuild and those automatics were used in just about everything VW/Audi/Porsche built till the early 90s..adapted to the model car installed. Any good Mom and Pop transmission shop can fix that transmission or it is possible to DIY.
The four speed transmission is more complicated..with electronic servos and such..and will require a pro.
