1990 Audi 100
I still own a 1990 Audi 100 but it's for sale ... it does have a rebuilt 3-speed transmission (it was rebuilt about 46,000 miles ago) and has had a fluid & filter change since then; tranny was rebuilt at around 312,000 miles, the car now has 358,000 miles.

1990 Audi 100 Owner
Hello,
I too have an Audi 100. I love the vehicle and it is a dream to drive. However, the parts are becoming extremely hard to find so I am considering just selling to someone to part out.
The Audi 100 is Black Sedan. It has a 3 speed automatic, 2.3 liter inline 5, non-turbo engine.
It is front wheel drive and has a moon roof. In superb shape inside and out, the interior is not only in excellent shape but also has heated leather seats, heated mirrors, power windows, and a new Kenwood stereo receiver with a removable face plate, USB and MP3 compatibility.
It also has newer tires, original wheels (excellent condition) and a spare tire. Brakes are in excellent shape. Tune up just completed; all new belts, power steering hoses and tie rods replaced last year. Fuel pressure regulator replaced and fuel injector maintenance done in 2012. My mechanic stated at routine tune up 2018 that the Audi still reflects factory compression across the board. It has a clean title.
The only thing that does not work (just stopped working) is the speedometer.
I have it posted here on the Audi Forum (Audi 100) for sale and also on craigslist represented as "for sale as parting out": https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/...477375090.html
Pics and carfax can also be viewed on both sites.
The motor has 198200 and still gets approx 28 mpg.
If you are interested in discussing further please reply through this thread or at whynot1132@gmail.com
Kind Regards

I’m selling my 1992 Audi 100, windows just stopped rolling up and down. Doesn’t seem to be the master switch and the window motor still works , any ideas? I’m in Anchorage, Alaska. Love the car. Need to let it go to someone who can use it. Mechanically sound. I would like to keep it if I can fix the windows on the cheap though...

Yes. Investigate wires that run welt- in between door- and A-pillar. There's always one or two that fatigue. See my post (second post #2) here:

My odometer (1993 C4 Audi 100S V6 2WD) stopped at 226,xxx.
Like to know who has had and what's the experience in analyzing / repairing.
speedometer and all other functions in Cluster are fine.
No Odo.
help?
You know it's the old style rollers/tumblers style of "numbers" but there is no "speedo" cable.
I had previously thought " cracked gear" somewhere but am now thinking " what makes the tumblers turn?" is it Electrical (back there) Semi- Electrical? Could it be that? I'd rather it be that (I think) truthfully (I think..
he lp.

Sadly I no longer own a 1990 Audi 100, I had to give it up at 358,000 about 2+ years ago (see photo below that I took at the salvage yard - I did keep the wheels & tires though). The car did have a very good condition interior (tan cloth), but I imagine that the salvage yard has fully dismantled the car by now. Engine was still running good! It is located in a salvage yard in Nevada, Texas (that's correct, a small hamlet called "Nevada", on the far eastern side of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, just past Lake Lavon).
On the other hand, I do still own a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro, but I guess I'll to switch to another forum now....
So sad to see the car go, that I even order a custom US postage stamp for the occasion. After all, how many Audi's make it to 358,000 miles in the USA?
