no power steering assistance
Happy New Year !
On a S6 Plus '96, there is no powersteering assistance in parking condition, engine on.
-there is 12V on the connector to the servotronic on the rack, engine idling
-there is no major leak
-in the bottle, the oil level is going a little down when steering Wheel is turned to left or right.
What could be the defect ?
Any Idea ?
Is there different pump for A6 C4 ? (the pump was replaced in the past by previous owner)

Not sure I can help..question for you..is the engine a V6 or I5? I recall the I5 engines had a "grenade" looking ball which is an accumulator for the power steering and brakes. It has been a while so I don't know if I can help.

V8 because S6+.
The accu is only to secure braking assistance for example if engine off while driving. This accu will five around 30 brakings with assistance.
No link with the pb.
