No start
Here is a good one for you guys! 1995 a6 Quattro had 360,000 km and stopped running. Got a low mileage running 1995 a6 Quattro( with rear end damage) and put in the engine - no start. Put in the computer - no start. Put in the POS - no start. Put in another camshaft position sensor - no start. There is no MIL light??. There is fuel at the fuel rail and it cranks over - no start . So I suspect power to the ECU. I do not know where the power supply to the ECU is located. Also suspect the ignition switch, but the MIL light should be on. Any help out there?

First place to check is the ignition switch. They are a problem once you get some miles on the car..and there were several recalls too. Get one from the dealer OEM..the aftermarket switches can be a problem. Part number 4A0905849B..confirm with the dealer.

Replaced the ignition switch. No start. Finally found the problem. Camshaft position sensor wires were trapped between the block and the tranny. MIL bulb was burned out. Now it works fine. Thanks for help rusty spokes!!
