no start on my 12v rebuild!
i finally got my engine installed on my a6 and i turned it over with no spark plug wires and no oil just to make sure it cranked over fine and to check for a fuel leak and she spun over fine. i put oil in her and plug wires pressurized the lines again and nothing no dimming nothing and it sounds like a vaccum pump is running when the key is on the starter is getting juice and it points to a bad starter but are there any other possible things that would stop it from cranking over?

Re: Bad ignition switch.
But i get power to the cable for the starter.Ill find out this weekend.
me thinks its a bad wire or the starter sleeping on it for a few says most likely culprit is the solenoid.

have to wait to work on her.
cant wait until this weekend. i only have the shop on Saturdays during school which makes the process take much longer.
