Rear Ended - Need right rear tailights

D'oh. Was rear ended on the way to Killington this Friday. Car is driving well, but as you can see in the picture, its pretty ugly.

Assuming that the insurance company totals, and that I buy it back to drive around for a while, I'll need both right rear tail lenses, including the reflective back pieces. Does anybody have extras they would be willing to part with?

Thanks,

Dave

Re: Need a new rear fender.... it may be totalled!!!

I know. Its defintely totaled, trunk floor is pushed up a bit as well. I was hoping to bang it out with a rubber hammer and drive it for the rest of the winter. It still tracks straight, even at 90MPH.

I'm back in school, so don't want to have to buy something...

it sounds like insurance will pay for it.

I glad to hear, that nobody was hert. BTW, what happened? Guess somebody with ****y tires/brakes tailgated you. In any case it is not your fault. BTW, how much insurance will pay for the car?

So all you need to do is put some lenses. As a temp solution put the clear tape over the backup light and read tape over the stop ligths - both would cost you $2 on any gas station.

Yeah, guy in a 2002 Ford Ranger Slid into me from 2 cars back at an intersection.

I haven't been to the insurance appraiser yet, but I am hoping to get about $4000.

Its a FWD 1992 in decent shape with cloth seats, winter package, automatic (still shifts smooth) and 145K miles.

Anybody have taillights?

I am still thinking of doing a partial repair and driving more or less as is.

Anybody parting out a 100/s4 and have the right tail lenses?

i've got some tail lites

the outside one is perfect, but the one with the keyhole has some small cracks. you can have them both for $50, if you are interested.

on the accident, do you live in a "fault" or "no fault" state? here in michigan, we have "no fault" and your own insurance pays for your own car, if you have collision coverage. the only thing the other guys insurance pays for is liability like if he kills you or something worse.

email me if you are interested in the lights.

Re: i've got some tail lites

Jim,

Thanks, I'll send you an email after insurance gives me the numbers.

I live in a fault state (MA) and do not carry collision on my car. The accident occurred in a no fault state (VT). The insurance of the guy who hit me (also VT) will be covering the accident, if I can get them to look at the car...
