Three blank buttons between "Emergency lights" and "Passenger's heated seat control"?
What were the options for those three buttons?
|
None... they're just fillers to make the dash look good. =)
|
Really? Is it possible I could have fully loaded version then?
|
If you had less options..
..you could have a small compartment in there. That takes FOUR(?) buttons to fit.
In 1988 and 1989 there was a reset button for the trip computer that was mounted there. In 1988-1991 there was also an ABS shut-off switch up there. BUT for your car you have all that you can!! |
My dealer told me, that I have "ejection seats" and these buttons activate it.
So I afraid to touch them until I will get in real trouble. He also told me, that I have two infrared sensors in front of my car and I will see a "snow flakes" on the left and right of the temperature display, whenever these sensors are detecting a snow 100' in front of my car.
Now siriosly, does anybody uses these "three dummy buttons" for anything useful? Like cap holder? |
Yes, it's possible...
For 1997... options were...
Quattro value package includes quattro, 16" wheels, sunroof. All weather package includes heated seats, washer nozzles, door locks, headlamp washers. Convenience package includes power front passenger seat, driver's side memory, RF locking system (also available as a stand-alone option). Kodiak leather seat upholstery Cellular telephone (hands free/voice recognition) 6-speaker 200W Audi/Bose audio Glass sunroof Alpine 6-disc CD changer Pearl White paint |
I put my toll tickets between them for easy access. =)
|
Yeah, it's a coin holder if you don't have the cold weather pkg. =)
|
No EZPass?
I think the EZPass is the best "highway performace" mod you can get.
|
I don't drive tolls often enough to need it. =)
