Will the car overheat if the blower motor fan doesn't work?
Blower fan won't turn on until i drive for 3-5min. New motor on the way...
Coolant seemed to get hot fast, when the blower wasn't on. Normal? No heat removal from the engine i suppose.

Blower will NOT normally come on with the auto climate until a specified time
No sense in blowing air past a cold heater core. The blower has always functioned that way on my A6. There should be no difference of the coolant temp related to the blower speed. There a value that opens the coolant flow to the heater core but should be minimal temp difference.

i can't get the fan to come on at all...
the car was not cold at this time, it was running previously for 1.5hours... and regardless of the setting on the climate control screen. I don't think i remember it doing this before...

OK..anyway, car shouldn't overheat if blower-heater fan isn't running. Two radiator fans are for
engine cooling. Too bad about heatper motor. I hear there are ways to try and sneak it out without pulling the heater box assembly out all the way.

of course not - you drive though the summer without the heat inside.
Radiator/thermostat and radiator fans are fully responsible for keeping coolant at the right temperature.
Long time ago on very primitive cars and manual CC, you might want to use heater core as a secondary radiator, but on Audi with auto CC you cannot do it event if you want.
