Default 1986 Coupe GT - photos & introduction

Hey y'all, just bought this '86 CGT and wanted to introduce myself. I'll have questions before long, this car has a few little odds and ends...

I've been following some threads; there's a ton of great knowledge on here!

Nice, I like the color. Is it Zermatt silver? I also dig the front plate. Reminds me of Trapper Keepers I used to have in the 80s.

Yeah. I guess 'zermatt' is German for 'golden'.

Thanks, man. Big Miami Vice fan here.

Great color! Glad to see there are still some folks interested in the CGT. I've got an '85 w/ 89,000mi and it still pulls like a champ...

Yeah, it has that cool angular 1980s body like a DeLorean, but with the awesome dash of an Audi 4000.

I used to have a 4000 CSQ, but 4-door sedans are too grandpa/Urkel for me.

Thanks, man!

And here's our E30 [sold for house down pmt :-(] at Eurosunday Sacramento
Guess we do like the boxy ones, huh?

1988 E30

And this is by FAR, the coolest car I've ever driven...father-in-laws M1 :-)
and yes, I drove it the Keene sandals as pictured. The sound is something else, which is another reason I love my CGT. Nothing else sounds, or looks quite like it.

@Gloxter: Cool CGT man, and low miles!

I really wish I could get the back-glass louvers for my CGT like your father-in-law's M1 has.

Someone said in another thread that they were an aftermarket option - and some of the CGT's even came from the factory with clips for attaching - but I can't find anyone selling them. Just Mustang, Mustang, Mustang, Camaro, Mustang, Mustang.
