I brought this discussion up a little higher in the forum so I can find it easier!

Did your motor come out of a car with an auto trans? I think they had the brake light switch wired into the ECU to cut the fuel pump at 4000 rpm to prevent transmission breakage while doing left foot braking under boost.

Does that help out at all?

Car came out of a manual

Namely a turbo quattro of course :). Unfortunately that doesnt help:(
