Brake line flare for 1986 Coupe GT
Hello,
I guess my first question was too ambiguous... I'll try again.
I am replacing the rear brake lines on my 1986 Coupe GT. I have been making bubble flares in the lines, but they don't exactly look like the factory line flares. It seems the factory flares have a small circle in the center of the bubble flare that sticks out a bit. My bubble flares are flat on the top. Am I doing this correctly? I have the Eastwood Pro Brake Tubing Flaring Tool which makes flares easy. However, I am concerned about the flares it's producing. I do not want to make all the lines, connect them, and find out they all leak. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
As a side note, I am using 4.75 mm brake line with part number 111611998; I am also using the appropriate brake line nuts with part number 1J0611731.
Thank you.
