idk about driven, how about want to drive...1965 A/C cobra (drools)
|
it wasn't the fastest, but it sure was a ton of fun and a lot of smiles..
my 60 Frogeye Sprite, which is currently undergoing reconstructive surgery in my garage.
Used to run it in Gymkhanas back in the 70's at Mitchell Field. I also drove a Porsche 550 Spyder that belonged to a mentor, but since I was young and broke,I never really pushed it to it's potential when I was on the course. I did a ride-along with him when he drove the same course and that was most definately a fun car when driven the way it was meant to be driven. |
I have several.. all different experiences...
My 1966 Chevelle SS 396 with a motor transplant to a 454 (LS6 iirc). That car had stupid amounts of power. Would stick it's nose in the air without hesitation.
My 1967 Porsche 911S. What can I say... Porsche. I never got out of that car without goosebumps. It was a thrill to fly around corners coutersteering like a madman with the tires protesting heavily. A completely different experience to the straight line beast Chevy. I did get to test drive an '87 Buick GN. that was fun but the suspension was so soft it became very scary in a hurry. And then there is Essica. My latest love. She needs tender loving care like all old cars but she also rewards me for the effort. |
I just turned the most amazing shade of green. Lucky dog!
