just a quick note to let you know i'm still around. it's dog testing and trialing time...

and time to get ready for hunting season. 've been doing lot's of stuff to get ready and spending alot of time on a tractor getting our clubs grounds in order. with lots of time spent dog training and getting the vehicles ready for hunting season.

on a funny note, have you ever gotten a big 4 wheel drive tractor stuck? well i did. one day i spent half the day getting it unstuck only to get it stuck again. it was kinda funny. the final time of the day we had to have a big semi wrecker come and winch me out of the pond. it got me out, but got him stuck. bad. after 2 hours of trying, he finally called in their biggest wrecker. finally he got out. i spent another hour trying to get all the holes he left filled in. i was expecting a few hundred bucks for the bill. it was $75. gave him a $50 tip for all his trouble. i stayed away from the ponds for the rest of the day.

anyway, i check everyday but don't always have time to post.

We were wondering.... "winch me out of the pond"....

sounds like you should stay away from ponds for at least a week!

"The difference between 2wd and 4wd is...

the distance you drive in before you're really stuck." - we hear that all the time in our office as we're regularly driving through fields, construction sites, etc. One of the guys here got his YJ stuck and in trying to get it out, got a 4x4 rubber tire backhoe stuck. They both were pulled out by the property owner's big CAT trackhoe....he was not pleased.
Let us know if the dogs pass/are found guilty/etc.
;-)
Cheers!

And in "rally", the difference between 2wd and 4wd is...

And in "rally", the difference between 2wd and 4wd is how far you go off the road, (when you do go off) , and is especially applicable in winter rallies.

(not 'if' you go off! :-)

I always say the only thing as much fun as a dirty hoe is

an extend-a-hoe! Usually you can walk this thing out with the hoe and loader (don't ask me how i know). If not then you are truly stuck - it only weighs about 16000 lbs.

Hoe Hoe Hoe....

I've had one of those stuck on a test pit job in mud up to the steps - sometimes it's hard to tell if going back from where you entered the muck is better than trying the undisturbed soil ahead. The guy ended up getting out - it just took an hour and a half.
