Default Looking for an air filter cold air intake hose for my 87 4kq

None of the local import distrubuters or the audi dealers seem to be able to locate one. Any help including a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC you cant put a cold air intake on a cis-e car(flame war) but if you where going to try to get one its way easier to make one then to buy one.
trust me i work at a parts store i have teenagers come in almost every day to get one ordered. if you where looking for a cone filter the local parts store should have a bunch bit he pipe you should make.

good luck.

This isn't any kind of modification. I am just trying to replace the original cold air intake hose. The hose is an odd size for which I am not having much luck finding a replacement. The inside diameter is just over 2-3/4" or about 70 mm.

Default I see...

Is it the hose that goes from the airbox to exhaust manifold?

Default I replaced mine with a piece of Aeroduct SCAT.

Though, it's not recommended for negative pressure applications, I've not had a problem.

OTOH, I ran without any tube there for a long time, with no problems either.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/scat.php</a

Were you able to make the 2-3/4" fit or did you have to use 3"?

Number 22?

It should still be available from a dealer. I most people will not have one in very good shape unless someone has replace theirs recently. It's basically made from wire and paper.
