you say you have fuel at the cis head? First check if it isnt residual pressure. Make sure your fuel pump is running. If not check the relay first. Then try hotwiring the pump by bridging the two main leads in the socket for the fuel pump relay. If no fuel pump is heard then its the pump. If it works then next step is to check the fuel filter. if thats ok then Pop out one of the injectors, remove the cis dist boot, turn on the ignition and pull up on the plate. If no fuel sprays your in trouble. Probably a bad dist unit.

No fuel at the injectors just means the air flow valve is not rising. By all dumb luck, this happened to me. Out of the blue the car would not restart a minute or 2 after driving. The problem; the flat plate in the air sensor was some how binding against the edge of the flow meter. Take the boot off, wedge the plate in an open position, and crank the car and observe fuel to the injectors. No fuel, no fuel delivery. I had to recenter the plate in the housing. HTHs

somehow, the intake boot had come off a bit, and was killing the vaccum. so... the plate wasn't rising. well, problem solved. thanks for the help. tireguy, you were right on the money, more or less.
