Aloha, just bought this ‘85 today since I popped the engine on my BMW turbo the other day. Feel like I stole it for $500. Runs pretty good, needs some suspension and brake work but other than that, pretty solid. Owned one of these 20+ years ago and kicked myself since then for selling it.

Would like to eventually turbo it, but have to rebuild my BMW engine first.

Very cool. I had one given to me as a parts car and I got it running but never fixed the damage it had in the front to get it on the road and had to scrap it eventually. I always wanted another one but found an Audi Fox for my FWD car.

Is that the BMW in the background? That's very cool too.

Hello All,
same here, i recently purchased a very similar GT coupe, that i once owned a few years ago as well. i was lucky to find one again, almost in mint condition. i bought it from the original owner here California. he loved this car and kept meticulous records.

the car does need some suspension work, a new muffler - possibly a new exhaust system...but the engine is in great, sound condition with almost like-new compression coming from the cylinders/heads. electronics will need some love. exterior looks brand new but does need some love too, and the interior does show some use but in nice condition....i'd like to replace the steering wheel with a Ur version.
i would like to get the Ronal R8 wheels if anyone want to trade to the OEM ones i have...(i know - it's along shot.)

Thanks.

Yes, that is the BMW. It’s a 1971 BMW 2002 that I managed to squeeze about 375hp out of it until I turned boost up too high, about 17psi. Was at 15psi before that day. Pushed the envelope too far I guess.

Some small chages via tint and wheels.

The car looks pretty rad, especially in that setting!

It’s at Maalaea Harbor here on Maui. Kinda like one of the last places you can get near the ocean with your car.
