Default Reliving the Dream

Hey everybody, new here to the forum, just wanted to say hello and give a little info about myself. I purchased an 83' Coupe GT in the mid 90s as my first car. Beautiful almost stainless silver finish and not a dent to be seen. I worked as many hours as I could to dump every cent possible into her. A short time later I was involved in a car accident (no fault of my own) that caused the cars untimely demise. I have recently found another one, same color (although a bit more weathered) that has a few issues and I want to buy it and restore but finding parts kinda scares me a bit. The car has some rust on the trunk, passenger fender, and a bad fuel leak from a hard pipe that runs under the battery tray. The guy selling the car wants 2k and It will not even start because there isnt enough pressure building in the lines. he says compression test shows 115-120 in all cylinders. If anyone has some insight as to where I could find parts and or any other info that may be of assistance i would greatly appreciate it. Thank You, Corey.

$2K is too much for a non running car in that poor shape. Keep looking & I'm sure you can find one in better condition for less.
