Default Replaced oil sending unit/ still a large puddle

So I replaced the oil sending unit yesterday, along with new 5w30 GTX/ & filter. It only leaks after i drive it. So when i got home from the garage I took a look and sure enough oil is dripping again. I cannot place this damn thing cause theres oil all over the bottom of the engine. If I pressure wash it off it won't leak till after i drive it resulting in more oil everywhere. I am buying a new oil pan seal tomarrow. Anything else on the bottom front of the engine that I can replace to maybe stop this leak? Im pretty sure it's the pan seal now/ but I thought I was sure it was the sending unit.

Have you done your valve cover gasket? I leaked oil all down the side of the block, and eventually it would leak on that sensor, and onto the ground. Replacing the VC gasket worked for me. I have an extra oil pan gasket incase mine ever goes sour.

Default 5w30?

I wouldn't put anything less than 15w40, and preferably 20w50 during the warm months, in any vintage vag car. I doubt if that is the root of the problem but I suspect a thinner oil wouldn't help your cause that much. Try a heavier oil. And a proper mann, bosch or mahle filter. You just never know.

There are two sendors. Did you replace both?

changed probally 6k mi ago. I did use a bosch filter, Dad already had the oil. It's gotta get changed again anyways. Where is the other oil sending unit at? I changed the one on the very front bottom of the engine/ right in front of the oil pan.

Default my experience

Mine has similar leaks (4ks), I found it to be leaking from the head gasket at the upper right rear corner of the motor, easily obscured from view unless looking through the wheel well with a light. It only leaks when you stop running as the oil returns through the oil galleys to the pan, I'm going to re-torque the head bolts another 5-10# to see if that helps.
