This is so cool... I'd love to have one on my car!

I was surfing web, found the seller of the hood as well as other body trim pieces. It's the hood I want! Well, the two grill pieces would be nice also!
Only 529 euro's... + shipping... Maybe Santa will bring this to me, however I think my "being good quotient" may be lacking a bit for such a great gift... |
one problem I have:
Almost every single sport quattro hood doesn't look right. They're crooked, or looked warped. I don't think it's the installers mistake, but just how the hoods are shaped. Like this one: Comes down more on the pas. side than the drivers side... that would be the CRAP out of me if it were my car.
I will never get on because of this... now just a regular carbon fiber 4000/Coupe hood would look pretty sweet! |
A matter of taste
I personally think the 4k's look fugly with the sport quattro hood, just doesn't seem to fit right, as the previous post mentions. I could see it as functional if you wanted ram air intake to a turbocharger, but otherwise seems like $549 euros could buy another nice 4k! God only knows what shipping would be like. Just my $0.02.

Whats up with that spoiler?
Is it connected to the roof? Or is it just to hang towels on? Any more pics?

The roof spoiler is 199,00 €

The hood is not so much designed for ram air as for cooling.
The Sport qs developed very high underhood temps with that fat-a** turbo. All of the louvers and vents are designed to dissipate that heat. If you want ram air for the turbo, take out the pass. side inner headlight.

I love them, but too much $$ for one. :(
|
kinda like the sport quattro light set up
wonder if I could do that to mine?
|
Are you buying directly from SGI in Germany?

I've heard that you have to cut out the openings for the turbo yourself, and the trim pieces in front you have to buy originally from Audi, and they're $$$$$$
I bought the upper grill piece and the spoiler for mine, the spoiler fits okay, but the trim piece is a pain to make fit properbly |
Those are just H1/H4's with eyelids it appears.
