Stuck injector tip (cap, aircap, hat)?
Monkeying with my project car again... I pulled all the injectors to find them glued shut with varnish, so there's a mystery solved. However, one of the tips got stuck in the head, so I thought I'd share an idea I had that worked out really well, since I found no good ideas through searching.
I did NOT want to pull the intake manifold and especially not the head, so I threaded a wood screw into the hole in the center of the cap and that gave me something to grab onto. That way it came out easily. I also had removed the brass injector holder (in the hopes that maybe the cap was stuck to it), but that's probably not necessary. Of course you'll probably need a new cap, but who doesn't have some extras...
File it!

Trying to locate those things new,
Im planning on resealing my injectors soon and can't find that 'hat' part for the KX's anywhere. It actually wasn't til I already ordered the wrong sleeves that I realized the interference/ non engines had different injector sleeves. There a chance these r the kind of thing a local parts store would have on hand?
