Default 1987 Audi 5000 cs Quattro Turbo

Hey there, I just bought an 87 audi 5000 Quattro. Around 140k on it. My problem is that it has been sitting for over a year and the guy who had it before me replaced the whole fuel system from tank to fuel distributor (cis). The 3mm air adjustment screw had not been tuned. He claims that will fix he issue. When I got it car would not start but would turn over. Seemed like no fuel. Took the injectors out and cleaned them out with carb cleaner and 45psi to open them. Now they all work and all spray consistent with each other. THE PROBLEM now is that the car will start , rev and idle just fine for a couple minutes but after a few minutes it struggles to idle then dies. It sometimes seems to load up on fuel and would bog at just over 2krpm . After it has started once it will not start until a few hours later. Seems like to much fuel. I am also not sure what the brass 6mm hex adjustment screw does on the intake. Any info on that would be awesome. I know it has compression. 130psi on cly 4&5 120psi on clys1,2,3 . I believe minimum is 115. Any thoughts?

I recently bought a 1988 5000 cs turbo quattro. I am not having CIS problems that I know of, but I am getting power steering fluid leaks from the reservoir. I was wondering if your hoses from the power steering/brake booster reservoir are covered in gunk.

Default Ps leak.

My ps rack was where I was losing fluid. My lines are all covered in gunk. I also ended up replaceing my ps resivor any way. Still using my original lines.

The little screw on the intake in the front of the motor bay is an idle adjustment screw get the car started and mess with that a little bit, also check your idle air control valve, when i first got my 87 5kcstq a few weeks ago it would only start on ether and would die out most of the time and when it did run it idled really high i replaced the idle air control valve, which really helped alot, adjusted the idle screw a little bit and my ignition coils had some sketchy wiring to it so i redid that and now my car starts up all on its own 99% of the time but still sometimes when its a hot start i have to use ether, do you have to use ether at all on yours?
