1991 200 avant quattro brake master cylinder
I've got a 1991 200 20v turbo Quattro avant and I'm told that my brake master cylinder is bad. It heats up and the front brakes won't release, I'm told this was common to the car. I have no idea.. Anybody know if this is legit and if so who can rebuild it for me? at $300 plus for a new one a rebuild would be better if possible. Thanks!

It is true that under-hood heat will warp the MC so that once applied, the brakes will not release completely. I've not heard of a way to rebuild these master cylinders. I've replaced one each on a '91 sedan and an avant.
