Bouncy speedo
 

My 200 20v has the bouncy speedo. A wack on the dash above the rightside of the instrument panel makes it steady again.

interestingly, when the speedo is bouncing the gas mileage on the trip computer goes down by alot.

I can't seem to find any definitive fixes, but it seems like soldering the traces and fixing the pin contacts should do the trick.

Any btdt?

having referenced that site with it's excellent photos, i must add that, while the resoldering of the speedo joints will fix the problem - it is only a temporary fix in that i had to redo the job after a year. granted, pulling the ic is no biggie, but i would suggest a more permanent fix by connecting the solder joints with bell wire which is not prone to the flex of the circuit board (as suggested by will ng).
