Central Locking System 875kTQ

So i have a 87 5kTQ and i locked the doors for the first time the other day and oh boy big mistake... The locking pump will lock and unlock the doors... but it locks the doors as soon as you let go of the lock on the drivers or passenger side door.... now this is super annoying and now i cant use the outside door handle on my car in either front doors as there "locked" but i can open from the inside... back doors are unlocked finally i have power disengaged to the pump as of right now, but i would like to fix it, its my first time dealing with a vacuum driven locking system and im not too sure where to start.

A little more clarification

As soon as you unlock your car from outside and release the key. It then locks? Correct?

Yes if I try to unlock from the outside the locks go right back down as soon as you release the key, same with the inside if I try to pull up on the locks it sucks them right back down, I also have a 90 100q and central locking works perfectly on that I was almost thinking maybe trying the pump from that car in the 5000 if there the same

I do have the Bentley, I havnt tried a mighty vac yet I guess I never thought about using one to test if it was a vacuum line or pump problem. Juggling 3 classic Audi projects right now so I let simple things slip my mind sometimes.

Disconnect the CLP

Then manually unlock the doors. Hook the mighty vac up to the vacuum line and pump to 15 hg. All the doors should lock around 15 hg. Then take a bicycle pump and hook to the vac line and pump up. If all doors unlock it's eather a pump out of spec or the controller in the door or a broken cam on the back of the lock cylinder. Once you've tested the vac line let me know what you find.
