Hard warm start, little or no idle
 

I have searched the archives and they are not helping. I have a '84 5000 Turbo engine, was running well, idle started to be erratic and would have trouble starting. Now it will only start when dead cold and then dies once the cold start valve shuts off. replaced the ISV, Idle Control Relay and checked for Vaccuum leaks. Wiring checks good, any ideas would be helpful. Also, the warm up regulator was bad and messing up the mixture, so I unplugged it and the car was running well until my most recent problem.

How does it start cold? fire right up or a long crank?

It will start right up on cold start and then die when the cold start valve turns off. As long as i give it gas it will run but not idle.

That's weird, thought maybe the injectors might be leaking, but it doesn't sound like it. You could always run the car for awhile, then shut it off and let it sit for a half hour or so and pull the plugs to see if they're soaked in fuel.

Before I replaced mine if I let the car sit for around 30 minutes it would start, but then die, and not restart, or would restart and run for a half second and die.
