Default LoL. I feel like I'm reading AW from a year ago...

Not that I belong in this conversation... I mean, all of you guys are WAY over my head, birdman included, So lemme premise what I say with a bit of caution, I may speak incorrectly, afterall. I'm one of Toxcheap's biggest fans. I've showed that video of the wagon with the Cobra, and the sedan with the CS Vette to my friends, and everytime when they go, "holy ****" I laugh...

Yeah, thats the same 18 year old car I drive. (you know... kinda... lol)

That said, Scott OBVSIOULY knows what hes talking about. You cant just, come up with the stuff he's saying... and it does makes sense. You have a bunch of fuel going through those lines, and they can be prone to fire. I don't see the difference between high pressure and normal applications, but here's where my overall incompetence and his competence show through. Believe what you believe, but one would be naive to say that either of you two dont know what youre talking about.

So wtf's with the namecalling? I mean comeon, we all do it, ****, I spend all day at school mocking my friends... but you guys should be professionals. WHy do I care? cause last time this **** happened, everyone got pissed, left, and neither of you two were here to answer my damn questions. heh.

BTW, its my understanding that this bickering was in great part the reasons for why everyone left... haha. just saying...

Default Birdmanmt

If this is really about education, then you can email me offline and I can help you in detail or summary with the documentation I referenced:
* Audi Recall Campaign TSA GK 0189
* SAE 86103 - The third Generation Turbocharged Engine for the Audi 5000CS and the 5000CS Quattro
* SAE 880258 - The Development of a Severe Turbocharger Bench Engine Test

I figured you must be kidding, believing in 90psi on a CIS I5 needs serious looks to the GK recall. The documentation of high heat and fuel pressure risks on the CIS turbo audis has such an old trail, I'm incredulous at your posts... My mistake?

Email me, I doubt you'll find me old in thought or action in regards to nerding in depth on the I5 turbo motor.

Best Regards

Default Me, I'm just intrigued...

One of the best writeups on CIS is from Nate on motorgeek. Read *HIS* thoughts on CIS, it's the best I've read to date. You might also find that the guy you hold as champion here may disappoint you with his self admission of misleading posts, it follows in that thread.

I'm not sure what the big deal is here. CIS isn't magic, it's either understood or it's not. Thousands of folks understand it, because they either wanted to or *have* to, or were professionally trained to. It's possible to tweek it, change it, modify it, and (if you are learned+lucky) maybe even make it work better. Then again, if you bang around on the 034 portion of motorgeek, you just might find this time and effort/$ better spent converting to EFI.

Those that do understand CIS aren't gods or holier than thou. Tweek it or just service it, you find it's quirks and limitations. There is plenty of CIS experience found different ways.

Read Nates excellent prose on CIS, it's obvious to me anyhow, that he understands how CIS works. The muckity-muck created by cool quarter mile times and 130psi has wasted enough bandwidth. Really daring? Try going over to some of the Porsche turbo CIS sites, they don't seem to have the same mystery we seem to have shrouded here...

Why'd the posts get deleted?

Default The bigger AW gets...

The tougher it is to leave forums unmoderated. That said, given the rehashes, I'm working on adding CIS FAQ to my website in the next couple months. In the meantime, Seattle80q can go over to MG and read Nate's writeup on how to fine tune CIS.

Default Yup!

Got to me you that day too. The free 90q I posted about that you picked wasn't ready yet. So you brought the 100.
